Carrie, the secretary, continues to work mostly from home, but does come into the office a couple times a week. We would like to have a Salem Quilt created during this time of pandemic.  Those who are interested in doing this would be asked to create a 10.5 inch square, with a 1 inch space on all sides.  The quilt square can reflect whatever you would like it too.  Some suggestions may be creating a square that reflects something you have experienced during this pandemic, an activity that you and your family have done during this time, something that you are looking forward too when we can gather back together again.  The goal of this quilt is to have it be something that we create together, while apart, and are able to celebrate when we are joined together again.  This quilt will be blessed and be a fixture in our building.  If you have any questions, please contact Carol Shroyer.

Salem, Trotwood and Happy Corner would like to work together this upcoming week to create support bags for the employees of BRC.  These bags would contain snacks and a note of encouragement.  The snacks would be a salty snack, a sweet snack, and an energy bar.  We are asking for members to put these bags together in whatever number they can.  If you are interested in doing this, please contact Pastor Lee for further information no later than Friday May 15.
 
Offerings and tithes can still be mailed to the church or put in the church mailbox. Your offering supports the work of Salem in the community and world! 

Much continues to be sent out via One Call. If you are not on One Call, have changed your number, need to add a number, or know of someone who needs to be added, please respond to this email or call the church office at 937-836-6145.
 
If you have a prayer request you’d like to go through the prayer chain, please call Deacon Sue Wampler at 937-286-4590. If she cannot be reached, please call Pastor Lee at 937-540-4533. 
 
Sunday Worship, Sunday School, Salem Bells, Shepherding Prayer Group, Sew What, and Wednesday Activities will resume at a later date. Watch for more information.
 
We are continuing to follow the State and Federal guidelines for this pandemic. This is a fluid situation and we will continue to communicate and make changes as necessary.
 
Most District events have been suspended or cancelled including Summer Camp. Check out sodcob.org for information.

A thank you from Norma H.- It was sure good to hear from friends at Salem Church. I miss all of you so much. I surely was blessed with cards, telephone calls and so forth. Guess you all know that I am quarantined up here, because of the Coronavirus. It sure is not fun being in your room for so long by yourself.  Gets pretty lonely.  Several of you have sent cards, pictures and so forth, which really helps. Just remember that when this virus is over, my door is always open for you to come see me at BRC room number 272."
