Pastor Lee

Pastor of our Church

Pastor Lee, a 2003 graduate of Juniata College and 2011 graduate of Bethany Theological Seminary, has been working to spread the love of God to any and all.  He was served as a Youth Coordinator for a Methodist Church in a suburb of York, PA and served as a pastor at Fairview Church of the Brethren in the Middle Pennsylvania District.  Serving as the pastor at Salem since 2017, Pastor Lee has continued to work to try and model the radical love of Jesus that calls the world to a place of peace.  
Pastor Lee has been married since 2006 to Ashley, and they have two sons, Thomas and Isaac.  Ashley is a 2006 graduate of Juniata College and has completed her Masters of Social Work in 2019.  Thomas can be observed most Sunday's making jokes at his dads expense, while Isaac discovers how fast he can run anywhere and everywhere.  They enjoy spending time as a family trying different foods, laughing loudly with friends, and trying to survive childhood.  Pastor Lee is an avid hockey fan, loves any games of competition, especially Pickleball, and plays more video games than an adult should.   
Pastor Lee has a deep affinity for Celtic Christianity and looks forward to the next time he can travel to Scotland.  In his faith and desire to be God's servant, he believes 3 things.  1) Love is better than anything.  2) I don't know everything.  3)  If you are going to err, err on the side of care.  If you have any questions, feel free to stop in, call or email him.

Carrie

Does pretty much everything!

For 15 years the first contact people have made with Salem Church of the Brethren is with our Administrative Assistant, Carrie Smith.  A local Northmont graduate, Carrie got her Bachelors in Religion from Wright State University and her Masters of Arts from Bethany Theological Seminary.  Carries basically does everything around here.  She would not agree with that, but she is wrong.  Her infinite patience with telemarketers is legendary.  As you read this biography she is probably running one of her children somewhere in the 48 states, and cheering loudly for them.  Carrie is a member of the Happy Corner Church of the Brethren, where her husband Trent is the pastor.  Salem is a place of welcome, and from the moment you make contact with us, Carrie truly embodies this.
